My .416 Ruger Hawkey Alaskan. This was supposed the be the year I hunted only with a handgun, but the '72 Blackhawk isn't back yet from the shop and I need a taller front blade for my back-up Bhawk (coming with the BH that's in the shop)....sooo, the .416 is sighted in and it will be fun to tote it around imagining I was stalking asiatic buffalo in the Northern Territories or chasing brownies in Alaska. ;D

I clear the cobwebs out of my .416 every couple of years on wild hogs.

Either the FA 475, 400 gr Lee over 15 gr HS6, or the Linebaugh built 45 Colt with a Miha 270SAA HP over 13 gr HS6. Either ought to do the trick. Season opens Sat morn here in SE Tx.

My deer license this year is a cow elk tag for Montana. I'm going to do my best to fill it with a FA 500 WY with a 4x Leupold using 445 LBT WFN-GC over 14.5 Longshot for 1140 fps.

My deer hunting is limited this year cause of my retirement and move to Oklahoma. It will limit my trips to the Texas hill county to see the grand kids and hunt. I do have one trip planned and may just go sit on my daughters back porch with a 329pd and a cup of coffee.
