I agree, they are cumbersome whereas the max-length guns are almost not noticeably larger. Gotta love 'em!

This is the only one I've seen with the Bisley Hammer and trigger. Wonder what it takes to make that fit with the 5 shot action? My .500 has the factory trigger and hammer, but I have a spare stainless bisley hammer and trigger from when I put my Power Custom goodies in my Accu-Sport.

I'd think that the only internal difference from the 6 shot to the five shot would be the length of the pawl.. That might swap straight from the BFR hammer/trigger/pawl set to the Bisley parts. Have I missed something?
Hate that the no reserve starting bid is so high.. I'd like to see one of you guys buy it and write, As Paul Harvey says, "The rest of the story..."

Personally I don't doubt that it is well worth the starting bid. I'd think that somebody paid through the nose for the work.. If he would write and provide evidence that some known proven entity had done the work I even think it would sell quick! For me I'd need to hold the gun to feel the action and look over the fit and finish..

I think the description mentions spidey underwear now. Axe has to buy it.
No foot in any pics though.

What's the significance of the JT number?

JT is when they changed the guns from DM for D-MAX. The easiest change to see is that the base pin is held in with a screw instead of a button like a ruger.
There are other changes also to improve tollerances and make them cheaper to produce.
