I was bored yesterday searching iTunes for a movie. I saw a new western movie called "Blackthorn". It's one of those watch it before it's in the theater type rentals so it's a bit pricey ($9.99). Whatever, I was bored so I coughed up the money and got some popcorn.
It was pretty good. The story was different, characters were good, acting was really good, scenery (Bolivia) was amazing. It is about Butch Cassidy trying to go back to the US later in life. It does nothing to offend the original other than imply they may have lived beyond the last gunfight from the original movie. It gets a bit artsy at times with the scenery but seeing cowboys riding in Bolivian mountains in an american movie is worth it.
All in all, I'd go see it in the theatre, and if I had it to do over again I'd rent it at home. I'll post a link to the trailer if you want to check it out.
