Okay, I'll have to admit that I've got a soft spot for Glock pistols - but I've alway been too ashamed to admit it! All these Glock threads have given me courage so here's a picture of my Glock 17L with it's low cut Bo-Mar rear sight and 23 round magazine! I've always thought it looked a little sinister...

Get you one of them 33 round mags and it will look more sinister.

Definitely a "bump in the night" gun. Just need a light, though I don't like or recommend them for civvies. So, a laser for the gun, to be used sparingly, a light for your off hand, also to be used sparingly. Why ? They telegraph where your muzzle is pointed and where you are looking. They are best for team use really. Also you should know the inside of your home better than anyone. My primary carry is a G23 with a Storm Lake 9mm barrel. Sevigny Carry sights. Have over size mag release and slide releases too, for my stubby fingers. Also put skate board tape, or tread tape from ejection port to rear sight, for one-handed slide manipulation. You can rack the slide on your thigh, other arm, or BG's forehead ! steve b

I think the Warren Sights I put on my Glock 35 were designed by David Sevigny - can't remember for sure. They sure are fast! I've got tritium sights on my Glock 22 for low light.

Yes,Warren is the manufacturer. One of his sight lines is designed by Sevigny. There is a carry version and a target version. I use tritium only on the front sight. In real darkness, with both eyes open, its difficult to tell which of them dots floating around out there, should be in the middle ! When shooting fast and close, there's a saying, front sight, and press. Same thing with having only the front sight tritium. Of course, the next step is point shooting. Sights ? We don't need no stinikn' sights ! I'm not qiute there yet myself. steve b

A good pal had a 17L, and while I never would have believed I'd want a Glock, been feelin the itch. I really like the look of the adjustable target sight, PB. Looks slick, but it sets really low...Did you have to get that milled for the install? Any other mods?

The Bo-Mar Rear Sight was installed by Glock Custom Racing and yes, it's milled. The only other thing is an extended magazine release (not such a good idea for a lefty - it irritates my middle finger!). It has a Lone Wolf barrel for shooting lead bullets too.

It is the handsomest Glock I have ever seen. (I wondered if the barrel had been replaced as well...) My pal had an Aero Tek sight arrangement and the skeletonized slide. Intriguing. Can the 17 be converted to any other caliber by swapping top ends, or is it a 9mm proposition only?

I just realized I referred to it as "Glock Itch": it didn't register until I mentioned it to my wife, who asked if I needed a topical cream....

I think the 40s can be converted to the .357 Sig or 9mm. The 9mm uppers don't have that capability (I think!)

40 caliber guns just need a conversion barrel to 9mm. 9mm guns will need a 40 caliber slide and barrel.
