Bill, We whacked the heck out of em this last weekend: 1,000 rounds=/- of 5.56x45 at under 50 yards along with multiple handgun rounds and some 7.62x51 (mostly teaching newbies how to handle pistols and AR's...Several 30 round mags full of steel core penatrator (green tip mil spec)rounds from the slide fire ar- the big plates so some light divots but they will be around for years at this rate. Chains & hardware are still the weak point. Handgun stuff won't harm that steel at all. Very pleased thanks!

Cool Robb,
Any difference in wear from the 1/2" thick plates or that new 3/8" you got from me this year? Inquiring minds want to know...
I still have a bunch of those left over to sell, need to get them listed I guess...

The 3/8" will take 240gr. XTP-Mag impacts @ 1800 fps with nary a mark. Great stuff.

No, not really, hard to really be exact as the last year's round target got whacked so hard by a friend's CETME that the bolt head was pulled through the hole on one side and a link and it's replacement s hook both got nailed early on. It took several 40 yard hits from 7.62x51 and just barley left a blemish. We need a dueling tree:-)

Fowler's steel stood up to everything we had to throw at it. ( the steel in the following photo is not Fowler special) The orange armadillo did not do so well.

I have been using a set of targets for over a year. I have hit them with everything I have from .22 lr up to and including a 338 Lapua at 50 yards with a 300 grain Sierra and they do not show a crater. Makes them swing around a lot. The jacket fragments like to collect on the legs and cross beam. Great targets.
