I like the taste of whiskey. maybe its my German ancestory but never did understand the term "sippin whiskey"? Then again,my first clue to a possible problem is when I noticed I was bustin the seal on a pint of beam and the empty bottle was about 30 seconds behind the cap into the trash.

I have a bottle of Henry McKenna that has "Table Whiskey" on the label. I always thought that was funny.

Coors Light makes Corona taste like a thick German Lager by comparison. Try some real German beer sometime and cleanse your palette. Corona is too sweet for my taste, although I do enjoy good mexican beer, with lime, on a hot day. The Coors Lite comment reminds me of the off color Monty Python joke - How is American Beer like having relations in a canoe? - -- --- They're both fargin' close to water!

Went to a brewers' festival in Portland, OR once. Someone put graffiti on a few of the honey pots that read: Budweiser, Coors here.....
Even with the huge selection of craft beers here I still enjoyed a stein of Pilsner Urquell pulled from a keg at Gustavs Bierstube better than anything else. and I think it goes as good with Mexican food as German.

I read/scanned this thread quickly and may have missed someone mentioning it but I will throw in my cent and half. My favorites are Buffalo Trace and any Van Winkle bottling. For the money, it is hard to beat BT. The taste for me ranks up there with Blantons and many of the other "Top Shelfs" for half the price. Of course, everyone's tastes differ some. I live in the heart of Bourbon country and have been fortunate to be have tried many of the brands. I have toured most of the distilleries. BT distillery is one of the best for scenery, history and friendliness of the staff. Sorry for sounding like a BT seller. Just my thoughts based on years of research.

Hiram Walker's "10 High". Reasonably priced, smooth and satisfying for that occasional whiskey tickle. (I also like Gusano Rojo Mezcal. As a pal of mine once said, "Mexico's first attempt at unleaded" Whatever you don't drink makes a dandy varnish remover....

I'm going to try it on your suggestion.

This my one and only Whiskey I drink anymore. In fact I am having a little drink at the moment before a possible long underway on the ship due to the hurricane coming! ;D

I couldn't agree with Rob more. If I figure out a way to reliably ship some, I'll get some your way. I owe you a favor for that pretty leather you sent me.
