Try,midway,James river armoury, for the Criterion barrel division of Krieger. There very good barrels ,run $200-300. It will make you a better shooter on the 1903A3. CMP to may have some.

I wouldn't change the barrel on my 03mk1 for love or money. With the load I have workeked up for it, it shoots 3/4" @ 100 yards if I do my job. But don't get me wrong, I have a couple of rifles with Krieger barrels and they make a nice one. Bill

Yes if I had a good collecter rifle all correct I would not shoot it much. Mine is a match rifle made for Camp Perry matchs. A old G.I. barrel just don,t cut it. You have to use the G.I. ammo they give you ,no handloads. The Citerion barrels shoot G.I. Ball real good. And also hunting ammo, reloads. I may hunt deer with mine in KY. Open sites and all. Good brushgun to. Can,t hurt the collecter value and have a brand new rifle. The new Ruger scout rifle has nothing on this one.
