Alan Harton fitted the grip frame and made the grips for this one.

Very classy. Brass and blue go so well together.

Well done! The Bisley style hammer with the MR3-DB is a nice touch! Guess I'm going to have to build a couple of FT Brassies now..

Look closer Axe man, that is one of the rare brass bisley frames rather than the MR3-BD

Whats the difference between the two?

The MR3-BD is a brass version of the old model Ruger Super Blackhawk Frame. The one on the gun shown in the original post is one of the rare aftermarket brass bisley grip frames. Here is a picture of two old model flat tops, one with the MR3-BD and one with the brass bisley.

How hard is it to find brass Bisleys? And who built them? Once heard that John Linebaugh did a run.

Thanks for the kind remarks, Gents. I dont recall where I got the grip frame several years ago, and haven't seen them offered lately. How hard is it to find brass Bisleys? And who built them? Once heard that John Linebaugh did a run.

John Linebaugh did have a run of brass Bisleys done way back when. Not sure how many he did, but they're not common. -Lee www.singleactions.com
