One of the things that I truly enjoy about this forum is the generosity of the members. It seems that our members are always offering to help each other, whether it be by sharing information, letting someone local shoot something that they are considering purchasing, wounded warrior hunts, the members here always seem willing to share their good fortune. Truly, this is a great group of people!
Recently a friend of mine and I went in partners on an Oehler 35P, and I thought I would see if there was any interest in having a Chronograph Day for anyone local that does not have access to one, but wants to see what their loads are really doing. I am thinking lots, a shooting, lots of note taking, lots of good people sharing their knowledge and experience by telling more lies than should be legal!! I think a group outing would not only be a lot of fun, but could also provide for a great learning experience for all involved.
I live in the Kansas City, Mo area, and I know there are at least a few other members in the area. Anyone want to go shooting?!

Nice thing about the 35P is that the sky screens are separate from the display, and relatively cheap to replace. We already have spares, just in case!! LOL

I used mine to test the terminal ballistics of a 120gr 7mm round. Full penetration and great expansion, the chrono was DRT...
They get me too caught up in the numbers so I leave them at home most times.

Supercubs are cool. Always wanted to fly but my aversion to heights is a "limiting factor".

what part of Mo. do you live in Dmize? I have taken more than one person with a fear of heights aloft. would not be opposed to trying to help you overcome it as well. believe it or not, it really is different when you are in a plane.

Oehler 35P to ensure that the kiddies don't maim one another. Paintballs <300fps before play begins. Oh, by the way, a rubber band propelled paper clip barely tops 100.

GREAT picture, MajorKap! Do my eyes tell the truth? Is that paint"ball" a misshapen bell-esque blob on it's way to oblivion on the surface of that popper?

Yeah, that is a paintball. It seems that they lose their forme circulaire as they make their way downrange. Either that, or maybe at that speed my cheap pawn shop purchased camera can't capture the image with true stop-action. Most likely, a bit of both apply.
