Being American and being told "Don't", I had to open them. Nice guns.

Very nice guns.
My question is what 2 Dogs is raising funds for? It must be something nice to turn these out.

Really nice. I'd be all over that stainless 44 with the looong barrel, but I just pulled the trigger on a 44 AcuSport bisley and it should arrive tomorrow or Thursday.

You know...one of the best deals here is that Officer's Match 38. I can make a very good case for that being a damned fine carry wheelgun even today. Load it with Buffalo Bore's high-speed standard pressure stuff, that length barrel will spit 'em plenty quick enough.

Neat old Colt. Too bad those stocks were modified...
Good luck with your sales.

Weagle99, that old Colt is clearly marked as a shooter grade sixgun.
Wise sixgunners will realize those old Colts are the prerunners to the Diamondback and Python.....

And priced like it. $500 is more than fair. Completely cherry with box and papers, those Officer's Match 38s are starting to go for serious coin - $700 or more. That one is in great shape, reputable seller, it would make somebody a damn fine carry piece. One of the best deals in a shooter-grade gun I've seen in a while.
>>Wise sixgunners will realize those old Colts are the prerunners to the Diamondback and Python....<<
Yup. It'll even take Python grips and speedloaders - same frame.

Just to clarify, I am not knocking your gun or your sale. However it is a shame from a collecting standpoint that the somewhat hard to find early full checkered target stocks were modified, especially since the stocks on that gun aren't original to the OMS. Shooters don't worry about such things, but collectors cringe when items of scarcity are intentionally damaged. The Diamondback was not a descendant of the gun you are selling, as the Diamondback had a different size frame and action (smaller). Python of course evolved out of the 357 model, which was a derivative of the action and frame found on your OMS. Again, good luck with your sale and I hope all pieces find happy homes.
