I just think it is incredible how the 1911 has taken off in the last couple of years..Manufactures that one would never think to have their own 1911 now do...

I've gotta wonder if this Ruger would be any better than the Magnum Research 1911 that Jeff also gave a good review on. The MSRP is the same and the MR seems to have most of the same features. Opinions anyone??

Of a serious note, the Happy Meal not withstanding, will Ruger have an in-house custom shop like Springfield? The reason I ask is that Ruger is nortorious for changing altered parts with stock parts when a gun is sent in for repair.

While I like it being made in the USA better than Springfields and RIA made overseas. To me I want a Colt in the 1911 pattern. Remington and Kimbers don,t move me at all to. Sorry I like my ponys!
