I love mine but even with 170 gr. JHP's loaded as fast as I dare it still shoots a mile high at 25 yards. Tom Black Mine always did too. On my last OM 41, I had the front sight ramp milled and a higher blade installed (from a pinned-blade NM 45, I believe).

I have one that was converted to .45LC back before there was an OM .45LC. I wrote a letter to Ruger to get it put back to .41 Magnum. That was April 7, 1989. Still haven't heard back from Ruger.

Acquired a short barrel OM 41 in spring 1979. Serial # 8xx. Traded 5 years later for a Kimber 218 Mashburn Bee. Traded that a few years later for a Kimber Ultra Varmint 6x45. Still have it, but should have kept the 41. Dumb.

I have an om 41 with a 6.5 inch barrel. Just sits in the safe. It was sent off to be converted and the previous owner didn't have the om parts.

There is a set of parts that will fit your gun on the Ruger Forum classifieds right now. They came out of a 30 Carbine they are the same parts as what was in your 41.

Classic. I told my barber to make it "longer in back and fuller on top" when he asked how I liked the cut. He just kept humming and pretended he hadn't heard me.
