well , it seems like it was worth it ... i had the cyl throats reamed , and the gf refitted , and the action gone thru... well , the throats are all .453 , the bore is a perfect consistent .452 , the indexing is perfect , the action is way smoother than out of the box ... so now all i have to do is get out and shoot it... if it will just stop raining...

its a 4 5/8" ? sorry camera is kaput , no photos... the fit and finish externally is poor for a ruger , the only good things were the sights were on straight and the bore is in line with the frame and chambers... doesn't happen very often with ruger from what i'm seeing/hearing...

ummmmmmmmmmmmm , could be .... thing is , since its not a primo fit and finish i can shoot the hell out of and carry it ridgerunning w/o worryin' about scratching it up some... so it worked out in the end , i guess...

"It worked out in the end"... come now, it still must be a P.O.S. Or ole Redux would of thought so anyway.

Or ole Redux would of thought so anyway. look , if you laid out big bucks for something that proved to be less than you'd hoped for , you would be somewhat aggro'd would you not ? i'm just accepting that the important things are what came out right on this one... no , it isn't a $5,000.00 turnbull ultra classic glow in the dark super special one of a kind , hell , i bought it to use ... i just expected better QC from ruger... if you think i gripe and bitch , go to GT THR SF /K/ or any number of other boards and see people that must do it for a living... ;-P***

oh , yeah , theres a like new OM 41 mag 4 3/4" with herret grips in a local shop for like $600.00 , but i just don't have a use for it... there are some nice modern rugers out there in spite of the slipping QC... my NV CCH 7.5" is as nice as you could hope for... my 50th S-S-S is a decent piece as well...

I picked up a royal beater 357 Vaquero a couple days ago, it seems t ohave been fit real well, it's the worn out internals that have my boxers in a bunch

Well, did it stop raining? How did it shoot for you? the range is still soaked under and i've been sick for the last 3 months , not getting out to shoot anytime soon it looks like... so it sits in its drawer in the safe for now...
