Any idea if Remington will be bringing out more variations on their 1911 platform this year?

Excellent question! I am eagerly awaiting any replies. The Remington 1911 as introduced last year is a fine pistol, but I've held off my determination to acquire one for want of a few enhancements, i.e. a beaver tail grip safety, extended thumb safety and (fingers crossed) checkered front strap. All these are simple modifications to an existing gun, but much more economical from the manufacturer.

I'm betting the SHOT Show will have more Remington and Ruger 1911 variants

I have seen a carbon fiber gripped, extended thumbsafety bedecked Remington 1911 recently. It was a new offering. I was focused on a customer national match that day or would have looked closer.
