First of 2011? I keep having a plan but got to make it to the end of 2010 first! Hoping that the latest FA 353 will do it for 2010 but won't know for sure until I get there..

Well, I didn't expect to buy another gun in 2010 but when I walked into Cabelas today they had a like new Marlin Model 60 (.22LR) with scope rings on the used gun rack for 59.99. I had a 30.00 dollar off coupon in my pocket so snagged the rifle and a new Nikon Pro Staff turkey hunter scope that was on sale. Total cost for rifle and scope... $125.00 not counting tax. Went straight out to the desert, mounted the scope while standing at the tailgate of my truck. Little bugger shoots great. Will proably save this one for one of my young grandson's.

A couple of Bisley's. Not sure which will come first, but one in 480 Ruger and a 500 Linebaugh. Ideally I'd like to have them built, but not sure who I will seek out to do the work.
I'd also like to get my hands on a 22 mag rifle. Either a Ruger 10/22 (very hard to find these days) or a pump action.
We'll see.

Linebaugh he is taking a 4.75in and converting it to a sheriff mod. new front sight and new grips. The other is a supergrade in a Damascus bbl/ejecter rod housing ,SS grip frame and CCH frame,Ivory Grips Pertty much shoots the budget for 2011. Happy New Year! To All

It sounds like Dustin will be making two of those supergrade vaqueros this year. When I talked to him 6-7 months ago about his contribution to "The Quest' and I told him to use his imagination on what to build that he felt would represent his highest level of work he told me about the damascus barrel idea with special grip material so I also said go for it and started sending deposits. I don't know what his time frames are for these two guns but I bet they go through the process at about the same time. I am afraid you are right, it will shoot the 2011 custom budget for sure. He sounded excited about the projects and the latitude he was being given atleast from this end, to create something unique and different.

Great lookin rifle Gary. That stock looks like a special order item. Love the Lyman 21 sight too. I have an old model 1894 with the same sight on it. Very handy!

Pretty sure the wood is cusotm although Madis has one pictured that has wood that looks alot like this one. But CFM records dont indicate anything about the wood or the 21. The front sight has a Kings reflector base.
Rod the 95 in the 30 US is a real pleasant round. Seems like it will be plenty accurate. Looking forward to putting it on a rest this spring.
