My two favorite 22s are a 1980's model 41 and a 1911 custom lower with a Marvel upper and a can. The 41 fits the best better trigger etc. they are both far more accurate than I can shoot them.

I've had several Rugers and Hi-Standards and none of them will stand up to this S&W 41. Most likely because it just fits my hand. Bill

On a perfect day with perfect ammo, over bags, it will shoot under an inch at 25 yards.

Well I ended up with a brand new 7 inch Smith 41. It fit my hand better than the standard Ruger or the .45 style (besides I don't like the plastic frame). Now I need a five inch barrel to put a red dot on, plus three more magazines and I will be set!
Thanks for all of the good information here.
By the way, Remington Standard Velocity Ammo sucks! Ten duds in a box of 100.

Well I have no pics, but I have several 1911 conversions. Without a doubt, the Marvel - which I made into a dedicated gun - is incredibly accurate. Mine has the rail so I can mount red dot or scope if wanted. I do have a Pardini Nygord Master that also is ridiculously accurate, but it was spendy. And I have never found a holster to carry it in. ;D. An example of one (not mine):
