Has anyone seen one of the adjustable sighted new frontier styled ubertis in the US? I've never seen them in a gunshop or online auction. I'd sure like to have one but dont even know where to look. It would be nice to have a new player in the hunting revolver market.

Sure, seen a few, and in the day knew guys who had them. They showed up in the 70s and 80s.
One factory designation was the "Model 641".
The one I shot the most was a .45LCx5.5", blued/cased, and dissonantly brass trigger and back straps. The case color was nice, not very Colt-y, but attractive. The blue was also deep and nice. Tool marks are pretty much a given with Ubertis.
The rear sights were non-click, and left the impression of being poorly designed and weak, but I don't recall any actual failings.
Bore was rough and prone to leading, but so are a lot of Blackhawks.

There's a 44 mag 7 1/2" flat top Uberti in very good shape at a shop on Gilmer St in Reidsville NC, price around $475. On the barrel it says "Made for Colt". The grip frame is similar in length to a SBH.

Lee,
I do know they WERE making them because I saw one online a few months back. Wrong caliber or it was gone.

Lee, I do know they WERE making them because I saw one online a few months back Wouldn't be the first time Uberti introduced a model, then dropped it. Remember the Tornado from '97? -Lee www.singleactions.com

i found the Bisley FTT listed, although not for sale, on Uberti's site. product codes are 616 and 626 which are the 45 colt and.44/40. Found a reference to that Tornado too. I do remember reading about those on the old forum now too. 5 shot 454 that one of the guys couldn't get over seas.
