Somthing tells me it will. Making great memories for others is a great way to spend your time on this earth.

Spare parts kit got here today. Grips won't fit. Carl called that one. Good news is, the cylinder will,(pending timing check) and the ERH is steel. I might have to add a steel trigger guard for an all steel bearcat. I'd be off playing with it, but it looks like I have come up one cylinder latch spring and plunger short.

Time to call numrich or ruger, both will sell you one, and they're not that expensive, ruger might not charge you either, they let me off free a couple years ago on a SBH cylinder lacth plunger

They are ordered, I got new action screws and a steel trigger guard from numrich, got a cylinder latch spring plunger assy and a new base pin latch assy from midway on the way.
New question - Who makes bearcat grips?

If its an old model, Ajax grips has some. Eagle makes 'em... and I believe Grashorn makes 'em too.

It's actually a Super Bearcat, so while it's an OM, it has a steel frame. The set of OM grips I have won't fit.

Sack Peterson over at the Ruger Forum makes them also. I bought a set of stags from him a couple years back. I'm sure he can make then out of whatever you want.

No gleeful dangling guys, its just I can't find the before pictures You know you like the looks of a "new" bearcat, call Mr. Harton and have him give your's a facelift also I can't wait to give this one to my son when he is a little older. I've gathered about 40,000 rounds for him so far where he will have enough to try and wear it out.

Got the bearcat up and running, less grips. Tried out both a conversion action and the OM action. After swapping around parts for a two days, I decided that I, um, like the conversion action better...but with the OM mainspring. Both cylinders timed up perfectly with either action. Maybe I'll sell the OM action parts, and get what I have invested in this thing back down under what I could have bought it for new. And then promptly buy a baby No. 5 pin from Belt Mtn. And a set of grips...

I ended up using a modified conversion mainspring, that way I can leave the OM part set together.
I talked to AH about it this morning, the pricing for the adjustable sight installation seemed very reasonable.
I'll let people get their own quotes, but lets say fabbing that tiny front sight is as much work as putting in the S & W rear.
