Must be small enough to fit in a standard back pants pocket. This is a 2nd carry gun for me.
The only 2 guns I've found that fit any back pocket are the Seecamp .32 and the baby Browning. I carry the Seecamp but I don't really like it.
I've tried with the Walther TPH, the Kel-Tec P3AT, and the Colt Mustang pocketlite. All are better, more shootable guns but don't fit most back pockets; just too much OAL.

Haven't tried the others but, if the P3AT wont fit in your pocket, ...you've got a problem. Not saying I recommend it but I guess the next step would be one of the NAA mini-revolvers. www.naaminis.com/index02.html

I carry a Ruger LCP in my pocket most anytime I am off duty.

In my front left pocket I carry a Ruger sp101 .357. In my back right pants pocket I carry the Seecamp .32. It's my backup/2nd/quick reload/offhand gun. That's the role for which I'm seeking the better mousetrap.
The P3AT sticks out the top of the pocket on most pants and shorts, its just a might too long. Ditto for the Walther TPH.

I consider the NAA inferior in every way to the Seecamp.

NAA mini revolvers are unreliable?

I'd guess that they are referring to the little NAA semiauto... Perhaps a different style of pants or even a pocket holster is the answer..

I still consider the NAA mini revolvers inferior.
.22<.32 less reliable harder to control harder to aim harder to hit fewer shots slower followup
That's for starters.
.380 Seecamp? maybe, costly, more kick I've thought of putting a laser on the Seecamp. At least that would make it more shootable and give it a sight.
I'd like to see Kahr come out with a micro .380.

I did not and would not recommend the mini-revolvers for the reasons you have stated. But ...if none of the mentioned autos are small enough, ...I don't know of any other choices. I would be interested to know what you decide on.
Shakey.

The Kahr at 4.9 OAL is the same as the Kel-Tec so its out.
Micro Eagle is 4.5, Seecamp is 4.25, so maybe. I'll just have to check it out.

Handled a Micro Eagle. It's short enough, chunkier though. It has a weak release button that would surely drop the mag when you sat down. Maybe a stronger spring would work. I prefer the heel clip design of the Seecamp for a back pocket gun. Still thinking about it.
