I'm wondering if those phorty-one phreaks out there will embrace this becasue of the caliber even if they don't like the styling. Built by Mr. Harton. If you don't like it, don't hold it against him, hold it against me, he built it like I said to build it. Barrel & cylinder from my .475 nee .41 bisley. Grip frame from a parts kit. Hammer and frame from a SBH that had wrecked bolt notches on the cylinder and a barrel that got sold. (and the GF went on my 1.41" project) Polished alloy ERH. The grips are some that Alan had around to put on it for shooting(trigger & photo) purposes. It needs new shoes, and I will welcome material sugggestions. I'm trying to hunt down a dark gray dyed burl, but I'm open to other ideas.

Hey Aggie,
I remember when you were first entertaining this idea (Seems like it was a quick turn around from idea to finished project ya lucky dog!!!). I wasn't sure how it would turn out but ya know...it doesn't look that bad at all!!!
I'm thinking, like you, either gray dyed burl or a gray or black micarta would work pretty good with this combo. Let us know how it shoots and post more pics (in the sunlight) when the new shoes get finished.
Congrats on your one of a kind shooter!!!

I'm a 41 nut.....and I like it. Dark burl or even gray laminate would look good for the grips. -Lee. www.singleactions.com

Mama always said, "If you can't say something good, then keep your mouth shut!" How does it shoot? My 1.4 inch 41 is almost ready... I ordered the cut off tool from Harbor Freight... Got 265 LFN GCs sitting on the bench... Let's get a 1.4 inch 41 load thread started...

I like it, but I'm a 41 slut.
Might look good with ebony or black micarta?

Love the configuration with the Super hammer, steel BH grip frame, etc. Can't quite grab the CCH though. Everybody's different. Hope it shoots well for you.

That baby would shine with some stabilized California Buckeye grips.

Some how I dont think the pictures are doing the gun justice. The background seems to absorb the stainless. I bet you get that thing outside in some foilage and wood around it and it will prove to be a real head turner. I did not think I would like it when you first described it but I do. I go along with buff it up. I'd go for some nice dark walnut handles myself.

I love anything that is a man's "custom" idea. Your 41 is what it is all about...how many folks in the past said...."Hey, look at Elmer and that funny gripped Colt".....I say that is as true a custom gun as a man can get I know it is my first look at CCH and SS. I like it. It will look great with a new set of grips. Gas on it brother!

WAY better in the hands than on the computer monitor.
I'll see if I can't get some more pics tonight.
And boys, methinks I found a grip blank.
Edit: I did not win the blank pictured earlier. It went for over $80 while I was out to dinner with my girlfriend.

I thought I'd like it, as I've said in past posts, and I do! If I ever have one done, I believe I'll leave the hammer and trigger stainless. That's a great piece of wood. If it were my revolver, I'd opt for stag with most of the bark removed...maybe 15% bark.

Aggie, who did the BP chamfer on that cylinder? Alan Harton. His are distinctive and, frankly, the best IMO.
