A friend came to me wanting to sell an inherited revolver.
He was needing money. I am very close to paying off my house and do not want to part with what gun is worth. So I traded a favorite well worn 4-inch model 19 no dash
without the factory grips and 500.00 for a late 60s four-inch royal blue Python, with factory grips, in better shape than the Smith.
I would have paid 17 or 1800 for the Colt, maybe more, and the Smith is worth 750.00 ish.
I will miss that old model 19, it is hard to beat as a perfect packing pistol, but this Colt will do the job just as well. And I just got a box of 800, 158 grain SWCs in the mail from rim rock.
And my friend will be able to fix his car and will not be left un-armed. ...tj
