The MP 432-256 is a clone of Keith's HG #503 mold. The real Keith bullet.

My guess would be that the angle,of the first shot was a bit more angle than expected. Typically a boar over 250 has quite a shield on it, and can easily slow down a bullet more than one would think. Then using a bullet designed to lose weight and you’ve added to the issue of not enough momentum to maintain a straight path. The Penta is probably a good bullet for. Light boned medium game but a pig especially one over 250 is not light boned or thin skinned. If you decide to continue use of that bullet my suggestion would be wait for a true broadside presentation or earhole it. My other suggestion would be go with a different style of bullet and maintain more bullet integrity, pigs are tougher than deer and really need a tougher bullet or much more precise bullet placement when using less bullet. BTW, congrats on a great harvest and I really like the wear on your 29. Honest use wear really adds character to a gun in my opinion. Trapr you’re right on all counts. I will say that I did set out to use this particular bullet on hogs just as a test for the bullet, I didn’t expect it to penetrate like a solid, but wanted some real world data with the penta on something heavier like pigs (as heavy as we have here) and the results weren’t too surprising. Fine for broadside shots, not ideal for raking shots. Thank you, this gun is on of my favorites!

Maybe I missed it, but out of curiosity what was the hardness & alloy on those bullets?
The only reason I haven't dove right in to hollowpoints and abandoned solid designs is for fear of a scenario I might have a bear or big cat in front if me one day and I need to trust the bullet to break bones and pierce into/through body cavities vs do something like this instance had happen to the OP.
I have a dandy accuracy load with the 640- bullets in my 44, I'm just leary to pack it in place of my trusted other bullets. Even more leary after reading this thread. Still curious what the alloy was anyway.

If you're using Miha moulds its easy to use a HP for your first shot & back it up with solids in case you need follow up shots. I started doing this back in 2021 in Africa & it's worked so far. Sometimes it takes a little load development but shouldn't be much of a problem for closer shots on hogs. My 282 gr HP & 308 gr solid would shoot into 3" at 100 yds after developing loads for both.

Solids, however, are undefeated in my opinion.
