My thought was always N110 should be treated like H110-W296. Good crimp and a mag primer.
Most of my first hand experience with it was in the 300 Whisper though.

The BFR will take 50,000psi no problem. It took a good bit more than that to blow the cylinder in the two 500 Linebaugh guns I tested to failure. The JRH has more cylinder wall thickness than the Linebaugh.

The JRH has more cylinder wall thickness than the Linebaugh. That sounds like it was an exciting project. Did just the cylinders let go? or did the top strap lift also? Doesn't Magnum Research use the same grade of steel in the BFR as Freedom Arms does? I wonder if their heat treat process is the same? I have read some stories of the early "Proof Testing" they did on the M83 454 Casull. One guy would load a hot round, then pass it to the next guy to shoot. That guy would load one hotter and pass it down the line... It was hinted that they worked their way down to Bullseye and could not blow the gun up. Not a very scientific way to go about it, but still??? This story could also be a pile of BS. My memory doesn't contain the where I read it parts, but I thought it was a magazine.

The cylinder let go on one by cracking, but the frame was fine. It's been replaced by the factory after we fully x-rayed and re-lazar measured everything.
The second gun lost the top of the cylinder and slightly warped the top strap. The factory dissected it fully for metallurgical testing. It came back fully within specs.
The pressures it took were astounding enough that I am comfortable loading to 45,000psi but it beats the snot out of you. So I have an early Bushwhacker conversion if I feel like some self torture.
And I used red dot. The Bullseye story is probably bs.
