I took this buck south of Moriarty, NM last weekend. 2 mile stalk on the flattest piece of earth and a 354 yard shot with Christensen Mesa in 6.5CM. Bows and handguns were tried and abandoned after the first day. It’s a three day season. Entrance is shown and exit was through the opposite shoulder.  |

Super cool! Looks like a cool one. I’m chasing them for the first time in Montana this fall, I doubt I’ll see anything close to that though!

Nice goat! Didn’t realize there was a gun season that early.
A friend here has an elk tag. I hope to be able to hunt with him a bit this fall as he and I will be carrying recurves. I will just hunt deer. Looking forward to some early fall hunting. Just haven’t had the time the last few years
