If I do buy it I am thinking I would have it bobtailed and the front strapped checkered, and better sights along with a refinish. For some reason I can’t keep myself from pouring more money into a new to me gun. Just buy a Tisas Yukon

I know we are talking genuine Colts in this thread, and there is a level of respect to be given, but I have to say that I love my cheap Tisas. I would rather butcher anything other than a Colt, but it’s not like Colt’s are rare. I would love to own a couple 1970’s era Gold Cup’s in both 9mm and 45Acp Just because I’m a diehard fan of magnum PI. Magnum’s gun was always referred to as a 45, but since they couldn’t find 45 blanks, they used a 9mm.

The only thing I can say about the OP gun is that it is beautiful and seems like a great deal!

The Colt will stay stock. First, I have found that the good 1911 smiths won’t work on nickel guns unless you remove it first and I just don’t see it being worth it when I can just shoot it as is. I will find a Springfield to have customized.

After looking for years I finally found two satin nickel magazines that matched my Colt like you bought.
