Back when my youngest Son was 12, I bought a BFR in 50AE. My son wanted to shoot it, but I didn't want to accidentally have him shoot a hot round, so I took some Lee 50-360 Hollow Base Minnies and loaded them backwards to form a HUGE hollow point. I don't remember which powder I used, but velocity was around 500-600fps. The son could handle it quite well and was a rather good shot from the bench with it. He says I ruined the BFR when I sent it back to be made into a 500JRH. I may have some cast around here I could measure and plug into Quickload. I'm guessing Accurate no 2 might work well. It is not position sensitive and should give a quick burn.

Added a 500JRH cylinder and the barrel cut from 7.5" to a 5.25" octagon. I wanted a 6" barrel and all of my other BFRs seemed to be measured from the front of the frame, so I ordered 5.25" thinking they would measure from the front of the frame... I should have just been clear that I wanted the barrel to be 6" from the forcing cone to the crown?
