I am not too worried about the stocks as I don't really like any open backs. The red ramp also would go pretty quick to be replaced with a bead. That was my thinking that I would have a hard time building a gun for that amount, and assuming it was fine mechanically I figure I could about get my money back out of it if it doesn't suit me. I appreciate all the insight. SOMEONE BOUGHT IT, WAS IT YOU? IF SO, I THINK IT WAS A GOOD DEAL WITH LOTS OF UPSIDE AND VERY LITTLE DOWNSIDE.

I put it on layaway. I don't know if it necessarily does anything my 6.5" 24-5 Heritage can't do, but I can't help but feel like Skeeter is smiling over a young man buying a 5" .44 Special

Well, I went back for look number 13 yesterday and found it gone, congrats, I was ALMOST off the fence, but am trying to keep my powder dry for the right 4" 44 Hand Ejector. The seller takes really bad pictures, I even asked for and received more 'better' pictures and its really quite hard to tell how nicely the barrel remark was done, and how good or otherwise the polish is over the barrel markings. I am glad/sad someone here got it and it wasn't me :-)

It will be some time before I get it as I have it on layaway. Timing kinda sucked but you don't see converted guns too often nowadays. I'm share when it arrives.
