That G30 is a brick! Sure 10 rounds in the G30 over the G36's 6 is a plus but that thickness kills me.

The G30 was probably the most accurate one they ever made though. They shoot really really good!
I got one of my G36 back last year. It was stolen 17 years earlier and sat in an evidence closet the whole time under a mistyped serial number. So the felon didn’t get the possession of a stolen firearm tacked on. They figured it out when they were logging it out to destroy it.

I have a G30 Gen4 on right now. Worn it all day and will wear it at least several days maybe more than several. Have a 3 inch, 4 inch, 4.25 inch and 5 inch 1911's. G21 Gen5, G20 Gen4 and a G29 Gen4 also a G27 Gen4. 1911's my most favorite semi auto handgun. Still carry my G30 Gen4. Oh yes, a G19 Gen5 too.

The G30 has been my go to carry gun for almost 20 years. I recently handled a G36 to compare it for potentially replacing the G30.
It is thinner and lighter, but not by enough to replace my G30. To me it was a very small difference at the cost of 4 rounds (and 13 in my spare mag since the G30 will take G21 mags). I found the difference negligable. If I need to go smaller, I'd rather just grab my P365 as the difference is palpable.

Also a fan of the G30 and G29. The most accurate compact conceal gun I've ever tested.
I've got long, skinny cryptkeeper fingers so the grip is fine with me.
I prefer and own the finger groove models, Gen 4...

This week's "Hmmm.... what you should buy is..." a G29 and stick a dot on it.
Why I don't know. "Carry gun AND field gun". Maybe because I have too many of those individually, but not that do both! (really just running out of excuses)
But I owned a G26 once and and couldn't hit crap with it. Had a G20 for a spell, sold it unfired because I didn't like how it felt. Had a G21 in my safe for over a year, never shot it. Same reason. So why now do I think I'd like it better? I dunno.
Haven't shot my g36 in years. Haven't carried it since, well... since it's been legal for me to carry it. There was a time when I said a commander sized, 8 round G36 would be my dream Glock. But now it doesn't feel quite right in my hand anymore either. Dunno.

The wider grip on the G30 is more comfortable, to me anyway, while shooting. In my hands the recoil is spread over a broader area, allowing for a softer recoil impulse, compared to the narrower grip of the G36. My G30 is one of my most accurate semi-autos and is not picky about bullet weight/profile either.

Oh yes I have a Glock 41 Gen4 too. Still carry the G30 Gen4. I had forgotten about it.

Only Glock I ever owned was a 36. That thing was a Jam- A-Matic. Tried a half dozen different brands of ammo with no luck.

G30, G36, and G30S live here. The 30S is basically a G30 with a G36 slide. Much like the G41 is a 45ACP barrel in a G34/35 slide with a G21 frame.

Own one Glock. G19 gen 5. It's a truck gun I really don't care about but someone gave it to me a couple weeks ago. I'll pass it along to my son since he'll be old enough his next birthday and likes it. If it was a 40 or bigger, I might would keep it in the truck, but a 9mm isn't much better than a hammer. In fact I actually had to use one like that to stop a drugged up idiot before after a few rounds of 9 failed totally.
