I agree Mr. Bradshaw...the .41 Special at about 30k PSI would be a much better round for the Python as well as the GP100...
As to the Reeder question...the 5-shot Ultimate .41 Hunter pictured in my Avitar has the maxi throat and dished crown....and shoots right along, and sometimes better, than a 6" FA83....

...one would think that with the number of .41 Magnums out there that one of the big ammo companies would sponsor the .41 Special just to have dedicated target velocity loads....
There are only a few boutique ammo manufacturers who offer the caliber. The biggest was HSM but don't see it listed on their website anymore. Reed's Ammo has the widest selection.
