Prayers have been said for the Taffins by me as well. I am new to magnum handgun hunting, and was made aware of John Taffin's books early on, enough to know he is one of the biggest names in this sport , thus he has contributed greatly to the society of all sportsmen and deserves God's healing hand, both he and his wife Dot.

John-If you are reading this: I was having heart issues about a year ago related to heart flutter causing very high pulse rate. I had a cardioversion at the Mayo Facility just down the road in Rochester, MN. This procedure made a big difference, but, was informed beforehand that this procedure is not a "permanent fix" but, rather a bridge to get you into the Heart Ablation Lab. November the good folks at Mayo in Rochester did the Ablation procedure and it has been doing it's job and I am in the gym four days a week. However, after the Ablation they discovered a golf ball sized tumor on my right kidney which was confirmed with an MRI the day after Thanksgiving. Following more testing in Rochester I met with Dr. George Chow. Because of multiple abdominal surgeries their Laparoscopic team didn't want to do it, because of the blood thinners post heart procedure they didn't want to take out two ribs to remove the kidney. Prior to my appointment with Dr. Chow met with the Cryogenic team and as a result mid February the Cryogenic Team took the tumor and a 2mm margin down to -40°C. I went home a couple of days later and was back to work within a few days after getting home. The post procedure imaging shows the internal structure of the tumor is collapsing. Because of the way Mayo does the procedure they are reporting 95% success + you get to keep your kidney.

Mr. Taffin was good to me in many different ways. May the LORD see to his needs. Brian Pearce was telling me of John's problems a few days ago. I do hope things go well for him. I owe much to him.
