The batches I bought from were range scrap pls 2% tin and 1.7% thin. Both performed the same and cast great, but required more fluxing with that much tin. I really like that lead.
As far as testing, I guess if you count 2 does, a few pigs, coyotes, and ground hogs as testing, then yeah I tested it. Great performance and appears to have expanded well on the deer and pigs, starting to on the coyotes and ground hogs. Never recovered one. Been using it with the MP 359-640 large hp from the 357mag and the same bullet small hp from the maximum.
I powder coat and LBT blue soft lube, so no leading even air-cooled. They get to about 16bhn water dropped, 10bhn air-cooled.
