Lee said they are made locally and he just charges what the gentleman that makes them charges him which if I remember was about $400 - $450 but I could be wrong

Thanks everyone! I’m currently saving for upcoming projects, but I handled a new SS Marlin 94 trapper 44m yesterday, and my mind was thinking that thing in a takedown would be pretty sweet. It seems great in factory form though, too! I hope they come out with is in 45 Colt!

It seems great in factory form though, too! I hope they come out with is in 45 Colt! For what it’s worth, there’s only one bolt holding the stock on and the gun gets pretty short as just a barreled action. No loss of zero or action threads to wear out either. My Guide Gun goes in a short takedown shotgun case from uniquecases.com/ when it goes traveling.

I forget the name, but those folks in Alaska that were briefly on TV, had a show, did/do. A further thought, think they were doing M1895's. Wonder if the do both ? No just work on 1895s.

Well, the last "conversation" I had with a '94 Marlin or anyone who had one was when I sold my 44 Mag and 357 Mag rifles some 40 years ago. I didn't know anyone did conversions on them but, those who do...WOW!! That is some kind of incredible work. If I wanted one, I'd behaving a "conversation" with any of them......

I’ve got one with Lee now and can’t wait for it to get done. 1894CP in .357. Should be a hoot!
