Anybody recommend someone or a company that sells custom hand loads? I do not reload and looking for a heavy hard cast round 440 to 510 grains moving 900 to 950 FPS. Buffalo Bore makes a plinking load for a 475 that I like very nicely in my FA 83 but the commercial loads I found for the 500 WE are very hot, my skill set not ready for that. Someday I will roll my own slowly getting materials but no problem buying guns, go figure.

Your problem will be the brass is not available even if you could find a custom reloader for you. If you don’t have a supply of brass you are hosed from the get go.

I spoke to the gentleman today and he loads the 500 WE in three loads 400 grain 440 and 500 hard cast bullet in FPS of 1000 1200 and 1400 out of 7.5 inch barrel FA M83. i ordered 20 of each weight in the 1,000fps offering. I have a 5.5 inch barrel so I expect around 930 to 950 FPS so I don’t expect to kill my wrists with these loads, should be relatively manageable. About 5 weeks lead time. Average about $63 a box per 20. thank you all for your feedback. Note I misrepresented the weight not 440 but 460. The FPS vary by weight the heaviest goes at 1275 not 1400 you all get the idea I just don’t want to misrepresent someone’s hard work in creating these rounds.
