Stumbled on a 3 screw 357 today.... Nice gun with original box and warranty card... I was thinking Collector Gun.... Then WHAM!.... I came to my senses.. Sell the box! ;D 6 shot 41 special with a 5.5 inch S&W ribbed barrel, Bowen target rear sight and just maybe one of those Power #5 grip frames.....

That would make a good one. I'll throw on the steaks! I think were it me I would change the ribbed barrel for an octagon, but that is just me. ;D

I like the idea, just out of curiosity when you d oone of the mribbed S&W barrels how do you determine what barre lto start with? Doesn't S&W change their shank sizes when going from caliber/frame to caliber/frame?

I'll be waiting to see how long it takes axehandle to get a new gun. Frank

I thought a BBQ Gun had to at least have some tasteful engraving to top it off. ;D

Hey Axe, You should post this question over on the Ruger forum. Maybe one of 'em will want to buy the box? I LIKE it, and am looking forward to pictures. Daryl

Little birdie told me that you need the 8 3/8 S&W barrel to come out with a 5.5 after all the cutting is done.. It hit me this morning that this gun may only need 4 5/8 inches of barrel so the 8 3/8 may be a waste... Not to worry though the 8 3/8 can always go on the 414 Kurtz...

Engraving? I was thinking that it might be a task for Gary Reeder! On second thought I'll just wrap some duct tape around the barrel and call it engraving! ;D
