Built before they watered down all the EIC (Excellence In Competition) and Service Pistol rules. Back when we were issued 230 grain Match hardball ammo on the firing line. Every pistol on the line inspected for modification compliance and a four pound trigger. All legal modifications done. This one turns out to be a Caspian frame, IMI National Match slide, Barsto barrel, and Bomar sights with very bit and piece hand picked then properly fitted and finished. Wadcutter or Hardball gun, the Bomar sights were without equal. FWIW the best gunsmiths that ever walked the planet said while the Kart barrel shot wadcutter best, if hardball was your cartridge, Barsto was your barrel. Pictures? Tonight! You know I have a few.
