American Holly Grip Pics?

I have seen plenty of American Holly grip pics when new but I would like to see what they look like after some years of use. Do they age well? Turn colors? 

Any of you guys have American Holly on your revolvers that is well used?

I have a few sets,, and they do age a little. I don't have any recent pics of them. I'll see if I can get some.

Here's some Holly stocks I've made over the years. Probably made close to 100 pairs, just a guess.

Mine have aged well. Some of the finish has worn off the edges, but the color has gotten richer. Holly is a good wood for handgun grips.

I HAVE THE 2nd SET PICTURED BY SIXSHOT (BISLEY GRIPS WITH A KNOT ON 1 PANEL), USED QUITE A BIT ON A JRH 45 COLT CUSTOM, WILL GET A PICTURE AND POST.

The ones I posted came as inletted oversized grips from Sixshot back in 2018. They were a perfect fit to my frame and all I had to do was the final shaping.

Thanks for all of the photos. I was curious if they would turn a little yellow, which I would not mind.

When you clean the gun do any of you rub the oil on the grips also?

I wipe all my guns down with Gun Glow on the metal and wood.

I USE BALLISTOL ON MY GUNS, INCLUDING THEIR GRIPS.

They do yellow with age.  A UV resistant finish (urethane) will slow that somewhat.

RE: Mr. Garza’s pistols

Custom grips, premium sights- front and rear, and Belt Mtn base pins — these are properly equipped shooters. I am working to do the same with all of mine. Luckily I got my base pins when they were available.
