Outstanding bull darrell. It's customary for a hunter to put a little nicer wood on a gun when they are dressing it up for photo's, but that will do.

Great trip and report. And nice rifle. What are the details on the rifle? I presume someone worked it over? Thanks kevshell, this 45-90 is a Turnbull conversion from a Browning model 71. I bought it on Guns International and had it sent directly to Turnbull sight unseen. The only part of the rifle that was used for the conversion was the action. The 45-90 is the little brother to my Turnbull 50-110 which was also created from a Browning 71 that I bought from Glenn (Zeus). Glenn acquired the gun from a good friend (Dewayne) that passed away too early in life from cancer. We thought it fitting to turn the rifle into something uniquely special and go hunt some big critters with it. I've taken a couple of buffalo with the 50-110 so far; a Klaserie bull in 2021 and a Zimbabwe bull in 2022. If all goes well, I hope to hunt another Zimbabwe bull with it next year. Here's a couple photos of the 2021 Klaserie bull and the 50-110:   I've been very pleased with the Turnbull crew's work; both rifles shoot exceptionally well. Thanks for all the comments guys! I had a sneaking suspicion that Turnbull was involved with that. Great looking rifle. I played around with the idea of having them build one. And it's pretty cool Zeus was part of that too. Beyond the wood and metal work I like the peep sight on it too.
