Beautiful round butt Commander size Dan Wesson Guardian. Closest thing to it in my set is a Nighthawk that MSRPs for literally 2.5X the cost.

Mine is a Vigil (same as Guardian without bob tail) in .38 super, a fine piece of work.

My cousin has one of these and even though he has a safe full of super high end 1911 being a 1911 coinsure this is what he packs daily.
Eats every load he has ever tried shoots under 3" at 25 yards, lightweight, decent trigger, decent sights, fairly easily replaceable if needed unlike his Volkmann, Wilson, Les Baer, Cabot, Alchemy, and Ed Brown guns are...
Heck of a value...

FWIW if this one did not have the bobbed tail I'd consider trading for it. My 1911s use the Wilson V mainspring housing.

Have had one for several years....probably one of the best out of the box carry guns ever...
Mine started out as .38 Super and added a 9mm barrel. A year or so later found a complete parts set in .45 minus of course the frame...it dropped right on with no modifications and shoots great.
Bought a Marvel Commander size .22 Conversion Unit from a friend years ago that I hadn't messed with....needed some fitting by a local smith but now it's part of the package...
