...using Cast Performance's 410 gr WFN-GC? I'm looking for 900-1,000 fps.

10 grains of Unique should put you there. HS-6 or 4227 work well in my 480's but they are probably closer tp 1,100 fps.

2400 works well, used 15 1/2 grains, got average of 1000 fps, with RCBS 400 grain cast bullet! Extreme spread: 42 fps, standard deviation: 17

Thanks guys, I've got Unique, 2400, Titegroup and H110 so I'm glad to see those are useful. There doesn't seem to be a whole lot of published load data for the 480 with 410 gr cast bullets. Or not that I've found.

Correct on limited info, if I remember right the Hodgdon site has info for a 405 CPB (W/GCK) which might be an old bullet vs the 410 gr I just don’t know and they have or had a listing for a 420 GR. BTB (bear tooth bullet) LFN GC . I kind of used that for a jumping off point along with info I gathered through lots of conversation with others and comparing all. I find the .480 is like the 45-70 in that more shooters want to lighten up and speed up vs throwing slower heavy sledgehammers, I guess im wierd

Going back to Tank's data and others in that time frame, always thought it odd that H110 turned in velo's that many other powders could too. H110 doesn't get loaded down, it has a narrow window from start to max, know y'all know.. Bound to be a reason for it, but I've no answer.

The only other one that I would look at that's not mentioned above would be HS6.

I’ve tried other but simplified my life with the 480.
750-950 W231 950-1100 HS6 1100+ H110
60% of my shooting is the 231 load with a 375gr bullet at 865fps then 39.5% the same bullet it the MIHA 385gr hollowpoint over HS6 for 1050fps and .5% of the time is the same bullets driven harder than I enjoy or see a need for…
YMMV

There's no load data for 480 Ruger on the Load data site but for 475 Linebaugh the loads for HS6 run from 13-15 gr for the 400ish loads.

Correct, the load I was referring to was using Accurate No.11FS.
