I haven't shot an auto-loader handgun in probably 5 years (no joke). In fact, out of all my guns I only own the two 10mm's pictured below: The top is a 1006 while the bottom is a 1076 with tritium night sights. Took both to the range this past weekend and forgot how much fun they are to shoot. Anyone else here still work with 10mm Auto? I remember all the well deserved press it got back in the early to mid-80s. It's been sad to see it phased out. -Lee www.singleactions.com

I just ordered a storm lake 10mm barrel & and couple chip mccormick 10mm mags for my .40 DW 1911. (already have a couple spring packs) That gun is too much steel for just a .40 S&W.

I have a Kimber 10 that is deadly on groundhogs and deer. Never can find the brass. Andy Horvath can make a 1911 sing! I also took a 250lb boar with it, and he hit the ground and never moved. Wonder if a 41 mag would kill this good, haha.

I got to shoot an early Delta Elite that a co-worker had. My thought at the time was its at the upper end performance-wise as a defensive caliber. Any more, and speed and control will suffer. There is a near cult- like love for the Glocks in 10mm.. Unfortunately I have 9/.40 size hands. steve b

10mm Auto? Bought a DE in the 80s when they first came out.. Sent it and a 6 inch Bar Sto barrel to Ed brown for his Maxi Comp conversion.. Currently have a Kimber Target II in 10mm and a DW CBOB 10mm... Just about to get fired up about trading for a 10MM DW Pointman at the local emporium......

Back when I worked part time in a toy store, I had the opportunity to buy a S&W M-610 (pre-lock) w/6" bbl, VERY smooth & tight action, unfluted cylinder. I let the assistant manager talk me out of buying it and have been kicking myself ever since. The round is obviously very capable and with the additional versatility in a revolver I think it's a very useful step up in power over a .357 Mag.
I have shot several autos in 10mm and am considering an EAA Witness. I just wish EAA offered a .22 LR top end combo ala their .45 ACP combo.

I have this pawn shop Para 16-40 that I fitted a second Bar-Sto barrel and bushing to, a switch barrel now. Same here though, one of only two centerfire semi's I own with the other being a Colt/Caspian "Commander" 45 I but together in the early '90's.

Nice pair Lee. I have a Gold Cup 10mm, and it is my favorite brass-flinger. I also have a 10" Contender barrel in 10mm Auto and an OTT 14" Contender barrel in 10mm Magnum that are a lot of fun to shoot, and very accurate.

Groo here Many moons ago I had a local smith make a 10mm on a wide body frame -- shot great but BIG I recently obtained a DW C-BOB in 10mm that is fit like it was twice the price... My 10mm were for the fullpower loads [200 gr fmj at 1200] and if I was heading into the great white north I would be hard pressed to take something else.. Relative there says many SS DW's went there as an auto can be stripped and dryed easer than a revolver and not ice up..

My favorite pawn shop has a Glock compact 10mm . They can't seem to sell it . I guess most around here don't know about 10mm. In July they are having there semi anual sale and it might follow me home . I have never been a huge Glock fan , but i could try to get along with this one .

Ax, I love that BOBBED DW. Went to the farm today to play with my NTM 357 Sig upper and snapped a few pics. Too much sunlight because they look terrible. Here are my 10mm bottom feeders. Top is the 357 Sig with sten mags. Bottom is Olympic 10mm upper. DW Razorback, DW Pointman, and Smith 1006. The Olympic 10mm runs great. 100% reliable with the 41ae uzi mags. First time shooting the 357 Sig today. I got a heavy DPMS buffer because I've seen some suggest that a heavier buffer will help with the pistol cals. (Olympic said to use a standard carbine buffer for the 10mm------who knows who is right) The Sig ran well with the Sten mags, but my reloads may have been a little hot for it. I had one case split, but need to run it a little more before jumping to conclusions. Side Note: Just bought a new Olympic 10mm Mag and having less than stellar results with it. It will only work with my RRA lowers. It wont fit either of my spikes lowers. Will fit one YHM lower if I hold my mouth right and the other is really too tight. Havent tried my Alexander Arms lower. So, after you slap it really hard to lock in one of the few lowers it will actually go in, the top of the mag is touching the bolt carrier and binds it up. So far my $50 mag is a POS. I'm going to file a little bit off the mag release slot and see if allowing it to hang a little lower corrects the problem. I was hoping to use it on both the 10 and the Sig, but so far it wont work on anything.

I have one, an ugly, soulless Glock 20 but it's amazingly accurate and has never jambed. I have a 6" Jarvis barrel for it to shoot lead 200 gr loads.
