Just got an email from Starline. 480 brass is available now.

I called them this morning and was told they are now available online and I was able to go online and place an order for 1K of them no issues and pmt was taken, it now shows as backorder item.

Just called them and ordered. Back ordered of course!lol Thing is I couldn’t get their website to load on my iPad! So I called. Nice lady said that their site doesn’t play nice with Safari browser sometimes. She took my order over the phone

I will be calling them in the morning to hopefully order 1k of them... (now to start looking for the 480 Ruger snubby I always wanted.) Ye of little faith... You mean you weren't prepared to spend upwards of $1k for a cool looking paperweight until brass was available? :-) I can't say I blame anyone for not taking the dive before they could roll their own ammo. I suspect that sellers may be a tad less negotiable now that brass is coming available. |

Well I have 500 on the way. Now I just need a 480 to shoot them in since I don't like short brass in longer chambers. That's as good of an excuse as any for more guns.

I know where a a Ruger 480 Alaskan has been sitting on a LGS's shelf for a year and I also know where it will be within 24 hours.
Brass was the piece of the puzzle I needed.

I am looking to add to the collection with a 480 super redhawk Alaskan. And now that my nephew got to shoot it he wants a bisley as well, so I might be buying another... |
