The Kahr K9 is a slick gun and very well made as mentioned above. I love Sigs too, extremely accurate. But I have to be careful with how I let my thumb ride or I’ll drop slide on empty mag 🤣 Dropping slide bad! I see a lot of love for the Kahr K9 and I dig it. I should have indicated that I am interested in higher capacity 9mm’s which is the only strike against the K9 that I can find.

Sig 228 or 229. Dead reliable. Target accuracy. Reasonable weight and size for carrying. Usually have a great single action trigger and the double action is usable. First rate quality!!!

I enjoy shooting, cleaning and fondling a nice 1911 as good for the soul. But if I really need to put a 1/2" hole in something I grab a Sig 220,,,, Or my compact 245 (a compact 220). Not pretty guns anymore but as David said, "dead nuts reliable with very predictable accuracy". But if single stack 9's are your thing you could do a lot worse than picking up a Hi-Power or HP clone. They just exude class. This one happens to be a 40 but most are 9mm.

Sig 228 is a classic. I have a couple of the older German ones. One like new and one that was Robar finished and SRT installed with new sights etc. great guns!

Don't believe all the BS you see on the internet about Glock. If you're carrying it for protection you'll probably never have to use it hopefully. I can't count the years I've been shooting glocks. Not dangerous at all. Again, and I'll repeat myself, one of the most dangerous semi-auto pistols out there, and thank God it's not main stream now, is the P 08 Luger. Just look at the very next pistol the Germans went too after the P 08. The P 38 Walther which is hammer fired, double action, with a hammer drop lever. Kind of tell you what they though about the Luger. Another neat semi auto pistol is the Beretta 92 FS Compact. Look and read about it here: www.swatmag.com/article/full-featured-compact-beretta-m92fs-compact/
