I did pay FA type money for my special bfr. But I sprung for the octagon barrel,#5 frame, a second cylinder for not much more than someone paid for the hunter.

Just picked up another LNIB supposedly fired 2 shots 44 mag BFR for $800. Ill never buy another large frame blackhawk unless its a 3 screw as long as the BFR's can be had like that.

Wowser, what's going on? I wonder if it was so high because it was a Bisley, a hunter, .45 Colt or all three?

How is it the one I posted had one bidder for fifteen and the one RJM put up had 35 bids and went for 2,350?

Does anyone have a taller set of rings for one of these? ***** Bought a set of polished, blued rings for the SBH Hunter from Ruger in Newport, New Hampshire several years ago. At the time, Ruger made rings in at least two heights, standard & high, in blued and in stainless. There was another option, which escapes me. Either it was matt blued or a third height. I don't even have anything here with 45 sized holes drilled in it, and think they need a 454 BSBHH..
