It is crazy what those Marlin 41s go for these days. I think I paid $800 for mine but that was over a decade ago too.

When this limited edition came out there was 1000 of them at $1000 retail....price was nutz then.
First one I bought was LNIB. Had it for a couple of years before finding another nice one without the box and sold the first one for a nice profit...still have the second one...
A year ago these were bringing $3k plus...prices are back down in the low to mid $2k area...

I have zero interest in 41 caliber, but a friend loves it, and a fresh run of guns by Ruger would satiate him and a lot of folks who just won’t pay a bazillion $ for one. Maybe an email campaign to Lipsey’s could make it happen. While they’re at it my friend could also use a 32 H&R in a lightweight round barrel configuration.

The 32 or 357 cowboy is what I really wanted but not for some of the prices they've gone for I may look for another toy.

I had Ben Forkin rework my Marlin 41 with a butt stock through bolt, stock diet, action job to handle heavy bullets and some color. I wanted one of the Cowboy 32s but when a Browning model 53 in 32-20 popped up I could not resist. Between these two and the little Winchester 9422 mag I have my lever action bases covered.

Kings6, just joking but where is the picture with your toes in it? I cant seem to take a floor picture of a rifle on the floor without my socks in it to save my life. LOL.
Those are some seriously beautiful rifles!
I am a 41 addict. There I said it. The cost of the Marlins in 41 Mag is why I went 405 Winchester.

I would wait till Ruger comes out with the Marlin 41 Mag because they will change the rifling twist the CORRECT twist, not the 1 in 38 Marlin used for all three magnums and the 45Colt. Also that 444 Marlin in the 336, but that has already been changed to 1 in 24. Marlin had their heads up their asses with those old black powder twists.

The Marlins shoot full speed loads fine but target grade loads suck...
A friend had the .32 H&R Cowboy prototype...it was HEAVY. Would love to see them bring back the 1894 CL Classic...same friend has a .32-20 and .25-20 and they balance woderfully. In .327 Federal I'd be buying one.

I actually had to stick my stubby arms out to keep my stubby toes out of the stubby picture! When you are only 5'6", stubby becomes your way of life!

I had a lust for all things pre-safety marlin for years and had quite a collection. I was in BIG 5 sporting goods one day and they had all the handgun caliber marlins on clearance for $299 if my memory is correct. I thought about grabbing a couple but being the pre-safety snob i was, i passed. Guess i could have made a small fortune sitting on them a while.

That 41 used to have a side safety but it has been deleted and an appropriate plug insert installed. Kj d of like plugging the Hillary hole on a S&W revolver.

When does the slow twist in a Marlin .41 become a problem? I shoot 230gr cast in mine at silhouettes, have shot 255gr WFN in the FG model I owned prior to the current S model and those shot well. Now have a mold for 265gr, but haven't cast any of those yet---this spring is the target time.

Velocity seems to be the problem vs. bullet weight.
My standard target load of 8.0 grains of Unique which runs 950 from a 4" patterns bullets at 50 yards.. The 255 Cast Performance with 22.0 grains of H100 puts three shots in a 1" triangle...
Remington factory 210 JSP run 1250 from a 4" and also run fine from a carbine...
