Thanks all for the advice. Now I’m tempted to go back and buy the thing but my dealer just got a 25–15 and that’s calling my name. Maybe tax season will be good to me…

A lack of local gun shops means that I've had to order any S&W revolvers that I wanted and couldn't inspect them prior to purchase. My last new S&W was a 340 M&P revolver, which had to return to S&W due to a bent ejector rod. They took care of it, took about 4 weeks, but what a hassle!
(I've recently bought 3 S&W revolvers, all used and all tip-top condition: 66-4 snub, 19-7 snub and 640 Pro J-frame)
