I had no idea I done so well till I posted here and you fellows telling me so. When I first saw I thought it was a good deal so I went for it. The deal went through nice too. I believe I mentioned that it had been converted to the transfer bar and I would have none of that on a vintage Blackhawk, so I posted here and the good member that handles the original parts fixed me up in short order. This is a great feature of this forum, THANKS!

Even if you had to buy the OM parts at a normal rate of about $125-$150,, that was still a good deal.

The box needs to stay with the weapon. Not that I am jaded to the point. LOL.
Had my pea brain picked up on the point that you were searching for an old model hammer and trigger setup I would have given you one. I simply did not pick up on it being so concentrated on the good deal on the weapon itself. Forgive me, I am a one thought at a time person.

Well the fellow on this forum that took care of me told me there were a few different sizes of hammer. I'd never known. He said the 41 had a specific hammer. What do I know LOL

Then you certainly got better information than what I could have given you. My set was not out of a 41 but a 357. Part of why I love this forum.

As the actress Madeline Kahn that was in the movie Blazing Saddles said when she was with the black sheriff "It's True, It's True!!"
..........that Ruger hammers are different!

Nice score! Especially on a 3 screw.
I recently paid $550 for a used New Model 41 Mag and was happy to pay that. I've really gotten bit by the 41 Mag bug and that addiction is well worth it.
Congrats on the new Ruger.

Yes the 41 Magnum sort of has been neglected. It's a wonderful cartridge. In performance it's more close to the 44 Magnum, but all three magnums the 357, the 41, and the 44 are great cartridges. Where the 357 is not enough and the 44 often maybe too much, the 41 Magnum fits right in there.
