It’s time…. Aging eyes ,trying progressive lenses, readers just a pain trying to hold my head just right to see the iron front clearly. I do use holosun 507k on glocks just fine. I’m wondering if there’s a better dot for strictly range, target shooting? Best size dot too?

You can get a Leupold Delta Point Pro with a 2.5 min dot, they seem to hold up now. Trijicon makes the SRO with a 1 moa dot, they are pricey but seem to hold up well. I have a Cmore railway with a 2 moa dot, on a 8 3/8" 629 and it works well, just kinda goofy looking. I found a direct mount for the Smith screw pattern, can't remember what brand. I had an older model Delta Point Pro that did not hold up on the 629. Need to send it back to Leupold for repair.

I hunt with RMRs, but have an IOR Valdada dot that’s held up. The C More sights have the best dot for my astigmatism.

Holosun far cheaper then Leupon or the big boy brands and just as good if not better. I can't see red well so I get them in green dot.

I’d go top shelf and go trijicon SRO every time. Nothing tops it.

I’d go top shelf and go trijicon SRO every time. Nothing tops it. Another company at the very top is Aimpoint. I watched Larry Vickers blow an M4 carbine up with an Aimpoint on it and the Aimpiont got a busted lense, but both it and carbine still worked. Enough proof for me, but I'm nop paying that kind of money.

I like the SRO for hunting but I like my green Holosuns better for target shooting…

"better dot for strictly range, target shooting"
Look at what the High Master paper punchers use. Aimpoint.... The 9000SC comes with 2MOA or 4 MOA dots. The size you pick is a personal choice.

.. you might review the sights jerry miculek uses - he has commented before on eyesight/revolver sights, jerry isn't a young man by any measure but with age, often comes wisdom..

NO to anything that has a switch. Holosun fan boy here. Very good point and post. That's the reason I love my Holosun. It's inactive, pick it up, the sight turns on. Set it down it turns off after a while.

I wish they were around before I got the other four or five.
