It does have a cool old school look to it.
I’m torn between the new Yukon 10mm and the 45acp Stingray but I think one of the two will be my next handgun purchase. Lean towards the Yukon…

Keep leaning towards that Yukon Bill, you'll be glad you did. With 180 gr or 200 gr cast it will suprise you. Longshot or AA #9 is your friend.

I second #9, I've used it since well, forever.

They're fantastic guns. I own the 1911 A1 US Army model and their D10 in 10mm. Both function with everything I've stuck in them and are surprisingly accurate (considering the price). No doubt their Aviator would be a sound purchase. -Lee www.singleactions.com"Chasing perfection five shots at a time"

Do you guys get the reliability using supplied mags? Or do you use aftermarket mags?

Do you guys get the reliability using supplied mags? Or do you use aftermarket mags? My two in .45 ACP did not function super great with stock mags (Mec Gar) but have been pretty solid woth my Chip McCormick, Wilson Combat, Ed Brown, and Springfield Armory mags work well.

Mine have used the supplied mags and run like a Swiss watch. In my original thread on the Army model I stated I even took new mags to the range and never needed them. Still cant get over a 300 something dollar semi-auto running this well!

To echo the above points, my two Tisas 1911's work perfectly with the factory mags. I've seen quite a few reviews though in which folks state other magazines run beautifully. -Lee www.singleactions.com"Chasing perfection five shots at a time"

My A1 Army came with two Checkmate mags that both work perfectly. Never had a problem.

FWIW My Tisas 9mm Carry won't feed hollowpoints. I've tried Hornady XTPs, W-W Silvertips. Speer Gold Dots, and Sierra 365s. All factory ammo, they nosedive coming out of the magazine right into the feed ramp. All factory ammo. Feeds RN Ball like eating candy. Called Tisas and a pleasant young lady in CS advised me the 9mm Carry was not designed to shoot hollowpoints. It's a now a fun range gun. 5 factory mags and none work with JHPs.
