I've used Superzilla on somethings that resisted all my other efforts. >>>>But you seem to have described a functioning firing pin. Will the gun function as it is now?

Such a bummer. IIRC, didn't High Standard make a recess / cut in the rim area where the firing pin could hit metal to avoid damaging the FP?

I have not attempted to fire it in its present condition. The firing pin functions normally by hand. It appears the broken pin tip is now serving as the roll pin it replaced. I think it would fire and function normally. However, even if it was safe to fire, the stuck pin would prevent routine maintenance and spring replacement when necessary. Plus the sight of it would be like driving down the road with your gas flap open and the cap hanging down. It would be also be constant reminder that the gun won. Update - I have not had the opportunity to conscript my machinist friend. Year end business matters have occupied my time and attention.

If you get the thing out and are left with the roll pin still in place: I saw a youtube video of someone knocking out roll pins in a pump up pellet gun, he used a short drill rod shank the same diameter as the roll pin with the tip machined down to just fit inside the roll pin, the shoulder does the shoving.

They make roll pin punches like that if you can't make one yourself.

Good to hear that. About the thing that's stuck, if it were me I would probably do the first thing I thought of...wiggle it. But sometimes I wreck stuff.

What happen with this stuck roll pin punch tip? Where's the update? We want to know if you got it fixed. Terrible to just leave us hanging.

Sorry about that. My machinist friend has been backlogged with manufacturing triggers for his personal side business. I'm waiting for him to catch up with his orders before I ask him to spend a couple of hours on my problem. I whack it a few times with a punch and hammer every couple of days when I think about it. And I'm trying not to think about it. I will post an update after he takes a look at it.
