So I went to Reeders web site and it says not secure. So I thought i would ask here. Does he do a mod called trigger set back ? Don’t know where I saw this but seems it was him. I ask because it’s something I have been doing on my Rugers for a lot of years. Sure helps with gloves on. I just haven’t heard of anyone else doing it. Any body else doing it or like it?

I was just looking through the site last night thinking about getting another Redhawk 475 from him.
I haven't seen anything like that on the service list or on any of the posted guns. Just call him and ask.

Been getting that warning for way over a year on reeders site. Now I’m getting it on starline brass site.

I don’t think it is listed, but he has done them. I have read a story by Jim Taylor about a special 41 magnum that has this modification done by Reeder along with a new cylinder.

Can you post a pic or two? I’m curious, are you recontouring the trigger to match the trigger guard?

I don't get that warning and since some are not getting it, the site certificate should be valid. The only thing I know of that could cause that is the PC system year / date may be set in the future or the past.

I sure would if I knew how. Greg posted a couple for me. Maybe I could con him into another one. The trigger winds up more rear ward at rest which gives more room for a gloved trigger finger so you can insert finger and the cock hammer easier.

That is a cool mod! How is it done? I have smallish hands, and a short trigger finger. My wife too. We would both benefit from this mod.

Single- I have done it a couple ways- one is a set screw in the grip frame that limits transfer bar travel. It needs to be loctited with red. The other is weld the bottom of transfer to lengthen it so it doesn’t return as far. Needs to be done carefully so transfer always drops and disengages firing pin. Have been doing it for years on many guns without any problems so far. Hope that helps.
